Abstract

Brucellosis is a widespread and economically important infectious disease of animals and human beings caused by members of the genus Brucella. The disease is manifested by reproductive failure, which includes abortion, birth of unthrifty calves and retained placentae in female animals. In the present study a total of 91 cattle sera were examined for the detection of Brucella antibody by RBPT, STAT and AB-ELISA and detected 10 (10.98%), 08 (8.79%) and 19 (20.88%) serum samples positive, respectively.
