Abstract
The serum activities of super-oxide dismutase (SOD), alkaline Phosphatase (ALP), alanine aminotransferases (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) were estimated in black Bengal bucks. Total 80 blood samples were collected at comfortable ambiences (THI<22.2) and in severe thermal stress ambiences (THI>35.6) created in a psychometric chamber. Activities of SOD, ALT and AST were found significantly higher (p<0.05) in thermal stressed group than the animals at comfortable ambiences. However, the activity of ALP increased in stress group but it was not significantly (p<0.05) different in both of the experimental ambiences.
