Abstract
Present study was conducted on 12 foetus of camel (Camelus dromedarius) collected from Nyala slaughter house. The specimens were divided into three groups according to the crown rump length as group 1, 2 and 3. The foetuses in group 1(N=6, 5-10cm CVRL) showed clear sex on the basis of external genitalia genital tubercle (clitoris) and genital swellings vulvuar lips. The feotuses in group 2(N=2, 4.5-4.8 cm CVRL) showed the time of differentiation by the appearance of small cleft separated the upper parts of the genital folds and the genital tubercle curved dorso-caudally, internally the female foetus possess two oval ovaries in the medial aspect of the mesonephros. The fetuses in group 3 (N=4, 3-4 cm CVRL) the determination of the sex of this group is not possible either internally and externally but it can be possible by the histological structures. It was suggested that the differentiation occurred earlier in the gonad in compression with the external genitalia.
