Abstract
Bovine papillomatosis (BP) is a cutaneous viral disease of cattle characterized clinically by development of multiple benign tumours termed as warts caused by bovine papilloma virus (BPV). Five casea of bovine papillomatosis in Hardhenu (Bos taurus x Bos indicus) heifer at cattle breeding farm, LUVAS, Hisar and its treatment with the autohaemotherapy is presented. The purpose of study was to determine the cure rate of papillomatosis after four weeks under autohaemotherapy. In autohaemotherapy after fourth injection, the papilloma growths showed signs of regression. The findings of this study revealed that without using any chemical agent, autohaemotherapy can be effectively be employed to treat papillomatosis of neck, face and eye region in a Hardhenu cattle and the animal get rid of papillomatosis within four weeks. The present study revealed that the autohaemothearpy can be effectively used as line of treatment against papillomatosis in field condition.
